Yep, watched it live on TV - wished I could have gone to Lake Placid to watch in person but didn't have the cash - as in those days I was just a young wet behind the ears college punk with a skull full of mush (sadly like too many that post in this forum today).

I think it's good they let the pros play. It's an international competition and across cultures it's too difficult to monitor and control whose a pro and who isn't. Just let them send their best players and get a true measuring stick on how good one country is over another in a specific competition.
