Jaguars jostle Jacksonville
When the Jacksonville Jaguars jumped out there in the opening days of free agency and signed defensive end Hugh Douglas, they were clearly making a statement.
Douglas, who signed a five-year, $27 million deal with a $6 million signing bonus, was by most accounts the premier free agent of this year's crop.
It was as if Jacksonville owner Wayne Weaver was proclaiming to the rest of the NFL that there are some new Jaguars in town.
The Tom Coughlin era, as heady as it was for a hot minute or two, is over....
