Finally overtook PIT/NJD with the win over Florida tonight! Hopefully they can keep control of the second seed!

Our schedule the rest of the way looks decent. #2 seed looks to be a good shot. I don't think Atlanta will make the playoffs since their remaining games are all against 1-4 eastern conference seeds, and everyone is jockeying for position, but who knows. Ottawa is hot right now so I don't see them being the 7th seed. Again, who knows. But if all falls into place, and Buffalo doesn't play Ottawa or Atlanta in the first round, they should make it out alive. And I really think they can make a series against any of the other teams in the hunt, NJ Devils being the next team I wouldn't want to play. Buffalo can beat Washington or Pittsburgh in a 7 game series, either could goto game 7 in my book.
We'll have to take it round by round obviously, so we'll see what happens Round 1. I just like the possibilities so far. My $.02
-edit: Wouldn't have to play NJ til the eastern conference finals, but still would prefer not to see them in the playoffs.

pittsburgh is the only team i really think we have no shot against in a 7 game series

A first round series with Boston would be ideal.
I totally disagree.Originally Posted by Wagon Circler 22
They will play Tuuka in the playoffs and he has done very well against Buffalo.
I'd rather play Pittsburgh than Ottawa right now.Originally Posted by Crisis
Pittsburgh has a ton of playoff experience, Ottawa is a little light in that department, or at least when it comes to the goaltending.Originally Posted by OpIv37
And Malkin has been out. I assume he will be back for the playoffs.

I'm personally hoping Pittsburgh/Ottawa face each other in the first round so at least one of them gets knocked out first.
that would be ideal.Originally Posted by RockStar36
of the senators/penguins/sabres/devils, the sabres (NATURALLY) have the hardest schedule.
Ottawa - CAR, NYI, FLA, TB, BUF
Pitts - ATL, WASH, NYI, ATL, NYI
Sabres -TOR, MON, NYR, BOS, OTT, NJ
NJ - CHI, CAR, ATL, FLA, NYI, BUF
I bolded the playoff teams and just assumed that ATL and NYR won't make it.
Sabres really just need to finish in the top of the northeast. I don't care so much about the 2nd seed, because that seems almost impossible at this point.
Also, for whatever reason, i really have a feeling the sabres are going to drop a duece and a half in the first round and disappoint the crap out of us. Here's to hoping I'm wrong.
If Ottawa loses in regulation tonight and Buffalo wins, they win the NE division, so that makes the remaining games obsolete (IMO).
Too bad Ottawa is playing Carolina and they're ****ing terrible this year.Originally Posted by RockStar36

Carolina has Cam Ward back so I wouldn't rule anything out. Like Lecter said, Tampa Bay shut out the Pens in Pittsburgh. Carolina beat Montreal last night. Really, anything can happen any night.
Ya Carolina is only 7 pts out too. They gotta win out to maybe try and get in. They have a good shot at winning I think.
Let's keep winning so we can get that 2 seed!!! We've already avoided Ottawa, now let's avoid Montreal if we can!! I'd much rather play PHI/BOS/NYR than MTL.
Looks like we're going to drop to the 4 seed...which means Ottawa in the first round if it holds.Originally Posted by Wagon Circler 22
