All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
I'm super gung-ho about hockey all year. I watch every sabres game. I love it and blab about it all day, especially when sabres are in the playoffs.
But as soon as they are eliminated it's like a battery turns off and I just can't bring myself to watch hockey anymore for that season. Anyone else like that?
Nah, once the Sabres are out, hockey is dead to me. I watch the Stanley Cup finals and may catch one of two playoff games if nothing else is on...but I don't really care about the NHL now until the offseason to see what the Sabres do.
I said this in another thread. Once the Bills or the Sabres are out of it, I have a hard time watching- mainly because the difference in talent between the teams still playing and our team becomes painfully obvious.
I continue to watch games. Playoff hockey is awesome.
"'Clean up your room.', 'Stand up straight.', 'Pick up your feet.', 'Take it like a man.', 'Be nice to your sister.', 'Don't mix beer and wine, ever.'. Oh yeah, 'Don't drive on the railroad track.'"
I can watch the NFL playoffs because the bills usually are eliminated before they start. But damn when the sabres lose hockey goes into hibernation. I guess that's the work of failed expectation.
I used to be like that, but fantasy leagues had me paying more attention to other teams and I began to like certain players so I watch them whether the Sabres are on or not
“You hold a players only meeting and get each guy to stand up and say what he can bring to the table... and if he doesn't, you punch him in the face.” ~~ Harry Neale, on how to fix the Sabres season.
