    Preseason Comments:
6/30/2010- Has probably one of the highest ceilings of any DE. However, hes still raw and like Michael Johnson, Calais Campbell, and Carlos Dunlap, may see his stock drop if he doesn't live up to his potential. Played RB and KR in high school. Better against the run than the pass at this point, he needs to improve his sack total. Hes physically gifted, but needs to produce to garner early 1st consideration.

    Comments:

    9/18/2010 vs. Auburn

    1st Qtr:

    - Quick and nasty on this play. Gets off the block for the tackle.
    - Blew through unblocked for the huge hit in the backfield.

    2nd Qtr:
14:06- Knifes through the blocks and almost gets the tackle in the backfield.
8:06- Its like no one can block him, makes yet another tackle in the backfield.
6:15- Just relentless and usually disruptive.
5:49- Has some hustle but isn't overly fast. He's more strong and quick.
1:00- Another tackle in the backfield. They cant block him.

    3rd Qtr:
5:52- Nasty job throwing off blocks and getting to the RB in the backfield.
4:21- His leverage and lean is amazing. He can consistently get off blocks with his ability to get the leverage and use his long arms to shed blocks.

    4th Qtr:
10:43- He's everywhere. He blows deep into the pocket, sheds his man and sacks the QB.
1:13- A hard hitting game and this guy is still flying to the ball like its the 1st qtr.

Bowers is a relentless player who sheds blocks very well and is a sure wrap up tackler. He spent a lot of time in the backfield in this game. He didnt show pass rush moves in this game but instead showed a non-stop motor and very good strength.

    11/21/2010- vs. Miami (replay)

    1st Qtr:

13:59- Throws off the block for pressure on Harris.
11:44- Gets blocked high, pushed back a bit, and can't get off the block. He needs to get lower.
11:17- Another play where he gets bottled up and can't shed the block. This is against a freshman OT.

    11/27/2010- vs. So Car

    1st Qtr:

1:55- Has some ability to get push

    2nd Qtr:
11:49- Disrupts the play by getting pressure
11:15- Sheds blocks to help with the stop
9:49- Sheds the block for the tackle
8:27- Closes fast on Garcia and forces him to throw it away
3:05- Shows you a spin move to collapse toward the QB

    3rd Qtr:
14:06- Nice stop on the RB at the line
12:17- Closes quick on the blitz
12:10- Throws the OT off him for the pressure
8:33- Blows the LT out of the way to close. Ball was already gone
7:52- Shedding the blocks on almost every play
5:39- Draws the holding call as he blows by the OT with an inside swim move
2:04- Nice tackle in the backfield

Da'Quan does what he does, gets constant and consistent pressure, and makes tackles at or near the line of scrimmage. He shows a spin move and swim move to go with his solid bull rush ability. He was unblock-able in this game although the stats didn't show sacks. He never gives up and is as relentless as any player in the nation. He doesn't have elite speed but is plenty quick enough to be very successful in the NFL. Clemson moved him inside, and outside on both ends and in a 4-3 as well as a 3-4 set.
