I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
      It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

            Horton's upside is non-existant.

I'll give you Seguin. I forgot all about the B's falling ass backwards into the 2nd overall pick.

Wideman not on this team is enough to make me smile: Addition by subtraction. I like how you have opted to pick on the team that eliminated your team from the playoffs.

And I am not convinced that Horton will be a bust either... I think this kid is going to be a plus.

I was simply making a point for all the Sabres fans who have their pitchforks out.

Hey, the Caps haven't made any moves yet today either.

Detroit doesn't want to win obviously. Haven't heard anything about them today.

Flames going hard after Jokinen. Working on a 2 year, $3 to 3.5 million per year deal. Is there another deal to make room?

Should point out I think Olli Jokinen is a credible NHL player. No issue with the player per se. Just couldn't imagine it would be with CGY

Because what they have been done has worked in the past.

Unless I'm looking at the wrong page, the Caps have a ton of cap room and quite a few roster spots to fill up.

Why should Darcy feel any pressure? The guy has the greatest gig in the NHL. He has zero accountability with an absent owner and a real estate mogol helping him. I have to assume that players around the league think they are a joke and that this organization is a joke. They can't make deals, they can't sign any significant FA, and basically they rely on their drafting abilities. Darcy sat there and fed all of us the same old BS about changing their stance on free agency and the way they are going to go about things, well, nothing has changed.

I see what you are trying to say, but you should really think about the track record over the past couple years before you throw out Detroit.
