All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
FA just started so maybe I'm being too impatient, but at the very least, the Sabres are losing two starting D-men. They either need to re-sign these guys or sign replacements, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Sign replacements.
Nothing personal against those guys, but I'm all for letting them leave. If anything it gets some new blood in the locker room.
I think GR KNOWS that the Sabres won't do anything right away today. They might do something between 3 and 4. Some second tier guy.
They still have something to talk about. You don't think the people in Buffalo and the surrounding area wouldn't want to listen to some kind of hockey talk rather than Rome?
They do it for the trade deadline, I don't see the difference in this.

That's fine with me- just do it before other teams pick off all the best options and we get stuck with the Craig Rivets and Steve Montadors of the world.

Oh, I think they should as well. But you know all the callers will be *****ing about Darcy's inactivity. Not that I disagree with them about this, but who wants to listen to that. They will have plenty of time at 3 for the fireworks.

I don't hate the Craig Revets and Steve Montadours because that is the ONLY toughness they have back at the blue line right now. Honestly, I only would like to see Sekera gone and Weber moved up along with an addition on D.

Rivet and Montador aren't bad- they just aren't great either. I'm not comfortable going into a season with them and 20 year old Myers as the best D men on the team.
And Montador gives me ulcers when he joins the rush. That's a breakout in the other direction waiting to happen.
