Anybody know if the Sabres goal is to win a Championship? What the hell? Every other team is at least trying to make moves to improve, while Darcy Dumbass keeps up the love affair with his players. Yikes...this organization is so frustrating.

Couple points.

1. The Sabres aren't the only team that haven't signed anybody 3 hours and 18 minutes into free agency.

2. Give it a rest about Lydman Mikey and others. We *****ed up and down about this guy for the past how many years, now we're upset that he left for more money? Uh, no.

As @capgeek points out, Whitney's deal is a 35+ contract and PHX on the cap hook no matter what, even if aliens abduct him or he retires.

like I said earlier- they truly believe that they can win a Cup with a core of Vanek, Roy, Pominville and Connolly. Everyone else disagrees. Hell, the results on the ice all but prove them wrong. But hey, they've made their decision and they're going down with the ship.

Oh stop with your constant excuse making for this organization. There is more time, but as the premier (and that isn't saying much this year) FA's start to go away, what is left? I'll give him the benefit of the doubt to make a trade, but this guy has got to stop with the excuses of how hard it is to get a difference maker and just go get it done. Other organization seem to have no problem doing it, so the lame excuses are getting old. Now, it's no guarantee that making moves is going to get a championship, but at least it gives the impression that you are at least trying.
