All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

No, but Weber and Gragani could be suitable replacements. And Gerbe might be the missing piece at forward, along with Ennis.
None of that has been proven to not be true.
I love Ennis and believe he will, but there comes a time when you have to go get the missing pieces. Chicago did...Philly did...it works...not all the time, but at least it would show that you're trying to do something to improve the team.
I really believed that we were going to keep one of them and I don't know why we'd let them both go. They were good defensemen and I don't want to see Sekera and Butler get a lot more time.
Nope. The minute the Sabres let them hit the market they were gone.
And for the price? No thanks.
Again, what did these guys do that makes everyone so upset? They were simply just there. Before last season with Myers, Tallinder was as bad as could be.

It is so true, before Myers, everyone in Buffalo wanted Tallinder run out of town.

I did in the worst way. I wanted both Lydman and Tallinder dished off last season before their contracts expired.
I'm not saying replacing them with AHL guys is the answer at all, I'll wait to see what they do, but I'm not shedding a single tear that these guys are gone, especially at the price they got.

Tallinder was terrible in 2008 and I wanted to run him out of town, but he rebounded nicely in 2009 when he was put together with Myers. As for Lydman, he's been our most consistent defenseman and was solid, not great...but he was solid. He will definitely be missed! $3 million per year is a good deal and could have been paid for easily by Buffalo. But they chose to let him hit the market and he took the first offer. If they offered him 3 years, he would have stayed, but the Sabres love their 2 year contracts.

So Tallinder rebounds in a contract year when paired up with the rookie of the year in the NHL.
