    Kellen Moore, QB, Boise State

    Kellen Moore*, QB, Boise State
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 187.
    Projected 40 Time: 4..
    Projected Round (2011):

    Career Stats:
YEAR CMP ATT YDS CMP% YPA LNG TD INT SACK RAT
    2008 281 405 3486 69.4 8.61 80 25 10 13 157.11
    2009 277 431 3536 64.3 8.20 67 39 3 5 161.65

    Preseason Comments:

7/23/2010- The left handed junior may not declare this year. However, he is turning heads with his numbers. 39 TD's with only 3 INT's is ridiculous even in a pass happy offense. He has good arm strength and very good accuracy. He makes good decisions and has decent pocket presence. His delivery is a bit 3/4 and his wind up is a bit slow. He really needs to improve his footwork. It appears coach-able. Teams may worry about his size. At 6 foot even and only 187 pounds, he may not be able to handle the NFL. However, Brees has been successful so maybe a team will give him a shot.

    Comments:

    9/6/2010- vs. VT

    1st Qtr:

9:48- Throws a bullet to Pettis for the TD. Nice spiral, plenty of velocity on the short throw. Right on the money.
7:10- Threw off his back foot and off target.
6:23- Nice pocket presence waiting for Pettis to get open and gets the ball to him.
3:06- Guy in his face, terrible decision to throw it. It goes way behind the WR.
2:02- Throws way over Pettis's head.
1:16- Nice job throwing the ball to #85. The pass was a bit long.
1:11- Nice fade route where only the TE can get it. Nice touch on this throw.

    2nd Qtr:
11:13- Dangerously under thrown ball that could have been picked. It showed poor accuracy because he could have hit the TE if he threw it a bit deeper.
10:27- Another off target throw behind the receiver.
0:37- Nice long throw on the intermediate out route. On the money and with good velocity.
0:30- Decent awareness, stepping up into the pocket.
0:18- Bad throw. Way overthrew his WR. Just throws it up there at times.

    3rd Qtr:
12:37- Throw showed bad velocity and just took to long allowing the DB to almost jump it.
10:23- Under pressure, stands in and delivers a nice throw. Has pretty questionable footwork on this play.
6:28- Off target, overthrowing is man.
0:57- Decent mechanics here throwing the ball to Pettis over the middle.

    4th Qtr:
    13:01- Overthrows his man badly.
    6:08- Throws a bit far.
5:24- Throws right at the covered man.
1:39- Quick throw on the money to the TE.
1:20- Great poise in rolling out to let Pettis get open.
1:09- Questionable looking throw to Pettis in the end zone but nice poise in the pocket.

Kellen showed good poise late in the game but also made many questionable throws. His arm strength is a bit suspect as well. He can be inaccurate at times and needs to make better decisions. He should stay in school and continue to develop.
