Preseason Comments:
7/24/2010- Gantt is a workout warrior who has reportedly bench-presses 470 pounds, squats 535 pounds, and has the top 40-yard dash time among Spartans tight ends at 4.72 seconds. Source: http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/po...riors-for-2010. Charlie is actually decent as both a blocker and receiving tight end which is fairly rare. He has been a productive part of the Spartans offense. It will be interesting to see what he can do this year. Michigan State doesnt have an established quarterback and Gantt's numbers may reflect that this year.
11/20/2010- vs. Purdue
1st Qtr:
10:52- Great job showing toughness to fight for the 1st down. Rugged TE.
2nd Qtr:
5:50- Doing a great job containing Kerrigan... he can block.
Charlie Gantt is impressive because he's a very good blocker with a solid build but also has good hands and can get YAC with his strength and determination. He's an underrated receiving option.
