Preseason Comments:

7/25/2010- Beal is getting better every year and is starting to get noticed. He may be too small to play DE in the NFL. Its more likely that he moves to rush LB in a 3-4. However, he may find a spot on a team as a 4-3 DE. Regardless, he needs to add muscle mass to be effective in the NFL. Hes a gifted athlete and relentless pass rusher. He has great quicks and can get around most OT's. He needs to continue his junior year with a strong senior year showing.

9/13/2010- vs. Fla St.

1st Qtr:
8:51- Has good quickness and shows a decent spin move but may not have the size to play with his hand in the dirt.
6_31- Whiffs on the tackle on Ponder.
1:28- Great job getting through the block to drop the ball carrier.
0:49- Cut block was ineffective, gets his hands up as he pressures Ponder.

2nd Qtr:
0:18- Another good job chucking the block and wrapping up the RB.

3rd Qtr:
5:42- Shows you his speed and quickness to get around the right edge and flush Ponder.
4:59- Shows you that he can get manhandled due to questionable size/strength as a DE.

Jeremy Beal is undersized for a DE and may get manhandled by the long armed OT's in the NFL. But he has very good quickness and decent strength. He does a good job of shaking blocks to get pressure or to get a tackle. He is a decent tackler. He has a nice spin move as well. Beal may be best suited as a rush LB in a 3-4.

10/3/2010- vs. Mizzou

1st Qtr:
9:24- May need to be a rush LB in a 3-4, he's a bit undersized at DE.

2nd Qtr:
2:47- Very quiet so far.

3rd Qtr:
14:00- Deflects a pass.
10:28- Has a good motor but is getting contained at the line.

4th Qtr:
10:14- Read the play and blew it up in the backfield.

Jeremy made a few plays here ad there but was pretty quiet. He may struggle at times to be productive when he is matched up on the bigger or stronger OT's.
