This makes no sense. At all.

Yeah I don't get this. It better be to open up room for someone else.
Wow.
I mean, I wasn't a huge fan of Kennedy, but he was a rookie and there was definitely room for improvement. And his arbitration was only $1 million, so this can't be a financial move- at best, they'll save a few hundred thousand over a call-up from Portland.
Hopefully the Twitter report is BS.

Tim kennedy placed on waivers, likely buyout coming.
I just did a Google search for it, but the only stories I could find all originated from the same Twitter post.
Apparently LosmanWins is on Twitter.
This story is about Tyler Kennedy, not Tim.
Versus people couldn't get it right but you would think TSN is better than that...
So Tim is still a Sabre?
I was partially hoping this were true, because if it was, the only reason for it would be to clear a roster spot for a big move, and we need a couple of big moves.
But, like I already said, Kennedy showed some promise and I'm glad the organization isn't giving up on him just yet.

Now, they are saying it is Tim.
This is confusing as hell. The Buffalo Sabres have placed forward Tim Kennedy on waivers. If he clears, it's expected that the team will buy out the remainder of his contract.
Kennedy, 24, scored 10 goals and 16 assists in 78 games last season for the Sabres. He re-signed with Buffalo as a restricted free agent on July 29, and is due to earn $1 million next season.
And makes no sense.
We need LW back.
Lecter is too bipolar. At least LW stood by his factual inaccuracies.
alright, sarcasm aside, let's go with the premise that this is true.
The move basically saves the Sabres $800k against the cap, according to the TSN story.
Are the Sabres that hard up against the cap that they need the space? I was under the impression that they still had around $4 million to play with.
This makes zero sense.
They have more than that to play with. I'll look tonight at NHLnumbers. But I think they had 6 or so to play with.
The Sabres need that extra million to sign Kovy.
