Preseason Comments:

8/29/2010- Owen Marecic plays both ILB and FB. He has decent speed and good height but needs to add some more bulk. He's a willing blocker and does a decent job there. He has some receiving ability as witnessed by his 09 totals. Owen is noted as a hard wroker and will do anything for his team. He's a lunch pail type player who isnt great at any one thing, but who could end up being a solid NFL player.

Comments:

9/5/2010- vs. Sacramento State

1st Qtr:
14:51- Came out and made a nice hit for his block.
12:12- Tried to arm block the defender. Poor looking block by him.
* Starts at ILB as well.
9:14- (LB)- Slides with the play but looks a bit tentative to get up in there.
7:47- (LB)- Drops into coverage but doesn't find a guy to cover and the RB got the catch and yards underneath. He looks a bit clueless.

2nd Qtr:
11:49- Runs out and drilled his guy on the block. He will certainly not shy away from contact.
3:27- Shows some wiggle and can run through the open hole. He has some quickness to go with his good size.
3:00- Nice block on the blitz. Stood the guy right up and stopped him dead in his tracks. He's not compact, he's a bit taller for a FB, but he uses good leverage and knows how to block.

9/18/2010- vs. Wake Forest

2nd Qtr:
13:57- Decent block on the outside run to the right.
4:08- Nice block to spring the RB.

1/4/2011- vs. VT

1st Qtr:
4:50- Nice sack as a LB.

2nd Qtr:
13:05- In on another hit in the middle to stop the RB.
2:26- Part of a big 4th and 1 stuff.
