ALLEN PARK--This is a scene from one moment of one practice of what was a very different set of off-season mini-camps for the Lions:
A drill ends, and the coach gives the command to begin a new one at the other end of the field. Most of the players move at a brisk jog. A few trudge. And a few more straggle.
Not good enough, the coach barks.
The players return to the point of the previous drill, and they all jog briskly -- together -- to the next one.
The coach, Steve Mariucci, is satisfied. Practice continues....
