This should be the year of the receiver...Reed, Brown and Carter all deserve to be in. Sanders and Sharpe will probably be first-ballots. Dawson should go, and may bump one of the wide-outs.
If I recall correctly, Reed was one of the last 1 or 2 that didn't get in last year, beating out many of the others in the final vote.
Still, a lot of first timers are impressive. Just have to wait and see.
Tough group.... Reed could get snubbed again.
wow that's a stacked class

Andre gets snubbed again this year.
only 7 can get in per year, right? i think reed gets in...
I'm betting that this is the year Andre Reed finally gets in.
of that list, i think the following all deserve to get in...
Bettis
Brown
Carter
Dent
Faulk
Martin
Reed
Roaf
Sanders
Sharpe
Sabol will get in by default; that will leave a max of 6 for everyone else... throw in the fact the committee doesn't like to send 7, and this is my prediction on who gets in this year.
Bettis
Faulk
Sanders
Sharpe
Sabol
My wife told me that if I had a dollar for every girl who found me unattractive, girls would find me VERY attractive.
MY WIFE SAID THAT!!!
Dawson was the dominant center of his time...I don't see how you can leave him off of the list.
no superbowl championships... i include Dawson, and we might as well start to put Ruben Brown up for discussion for the HOF.Originally Posted by YardRat
You might want to reconsider your original list, then, as there are others that didn't get a super bowl championship.Originally Posted by Ingtar33
Comparing Dawson to Brown is just unfair to Dawson.
Still no Tasker...
Bye Bye Brady...
With this group, I believe he gets in......Sharpe is a no brainer IMO
andre has no chance against that competition unfortunately...
Andre will go in in about three years.

I guess I don't know why it took forever for Art Monk to get in, and it's taking forever for Andre and Cris Carter to go in. I know the passing game has changed since the illegal chuck rule in 78, but still. These are incredible talents.
Andre Reed deserves the HOF more than Andre Tippett ever did (not to say Tippett wasn't a terrific player, he was, but I can't think of him as a HOFer) But there is a double standard for wide receivers.
