RUMOR: Martin Biron and #5 overall to.....

Philly for #11, #24, and F Justin Williams or D prospect Jeff Wojwitka.

This only makes sense if Regier turns around and gives the #11 pick to Phoenix for veteran G Sean Burke.

**I just hope BG43 stays with us though **

We were not promised anything...Gallisono and Quinn gave DR and LR 4 years to win the cup...if they are fired tomorrow that request goes away and we start off with a new GM and Coach...stop taking people words out of context.

          I don't like it.

So Philly gives Checkmanik away, gets Biron and Fleury, and is gonna make a run at the cup next year?

Fleury is going higher than #5.

To Pittsburgh? That team better get a new building or they will be gone.

I don 't understand why they wanted Fleury. I didn't think goaltending was a problem for them, with Hedberg there.

If they are also expecting a lock out (which will give Fleury two years to mature) after which Hedberg becomes a free agent I can see this pick...if not then there may be a trade in the works.

Ya, that's true. But they could have gotten someone who can play this next season and possibly give them some hope of surviving the lockout in the first place. If they have another season like this last one, I doubt they will have a team by the time the lockout is over.

I truly feel that they will not have a team. I think Mario sells them and pockets his money and gets out before the lockout.

Mario will be lucky to break even by the time this is over with.

I'd say he'd sell, but where could they move the team to?

                            Houston?

It depends on who would be interested in moving it there. Thurman Thomas was looking into a franchise in Houston a few years back along with Bob McNair, who since became the Texans owner.
