that apparently is it. Kevin snow tweeted that he "was sorry if people didn't find it worthy of holy crap. But EVERY PLAYER!"

So that was the news release. I had hasek as backup as greatest holy crap and renaming the HSBC arena to Veins Veins Veins Arena as least worthy of holy crap.

This failed by a large amount.

if hasek is part of the equation, signing him as backup for the playoff run would be a holy crap moment....for sure.

but that is totally made up by me.

They can't sign Hasek...he is playing in the KHL and I think there is a no-compete.

Pegula is paying for all of the flights too - so it really is Holy crap if you think about the cost

How so? Did you read the article? Flying in any former player? Handing out game worn jerseys to season ticket holders? Two hour party before the game?

This is a pretty big deal and pretty expensive too.

Not sure what you expect.

I think this is really telling:

“Ever since we opened up the Sabres Suggestion Box, the fans kept telling us to bring back Fan Appreciation Night,” explains Sabres President Ted Black. “We have the greatest fans in the NHL, and they deserve to be treated that way. It’s not just about the game, we want to recognize our fans as well.”

That fan suggestion box has been there for what? 3 weeks? And they responded, and they responded BIG. It's somewhat trivial, and it makes absolutely no difference to me since I live 400 miles away and can't go to the game, but the fact that they were this responsive to the fans is huge IMO.
