Meh, i'm not sure if that really means they will be ready to play. i think they have to test everything out to see. it's game 7.

sekera looked terrible on defense in game 3 and i think that was the last time he played. he played well in the offensive zone, but just awful on defense. i think 2 of the goals were on him.

THey are only practicing. No idea if they will play.

And, if they do, how effective will Hecht or Roy be? Roy has not played in 4 months and Hecht has been concussed for about 2 months or so.

In theory both are better than Ellis and Adam/Mancari. But will they really help?

Just hope if Hecht goes he actually plays and does not go out again after just a few shifts, Sabres need bodies out there.

Connolly hasn't done much. I feel Roy more than can make up for him.

Pommer is a tough loss but Hecht can play and has playoff exp.

Montador STINKS right now. For Sekera's occasional lapses he has the ability to dominate games at times.

Roy reportedly said that he is 100%

Which pisses me off because if he played on Sunday he was likely at 80%. That mother ****er.

i think if Sekera can play, butler sits, not montador. Butler is hot or cold and is now cold.

NHL has Time's for Injuries Roy had to wait 4 months then get clearance by the NHL, 4 Months was Sat. he did not get clearance to play until Monday from the NHL. To be honest, he's been ready for a week, but the rules are there to protect the players.

**** if he is 100% today he had to be at like 98%+ just 2 days ago.

No way. Sekera is a difference maker. I KNOW he has lapses but I would be willing to take that chance.

PHILADELPHIA -- Patrick Kaleta and Mike Grier are both absent from the Sabres' morning skate and they would both appear to be out for Game Seven. Derek Roy, Mark Mancari and Jochen Hecht are among 12 forwards skating.

Andrej Sekera is also on the ice, meaning seven defensemen are taking the morning skate.

    The lines look like this

    Gerbe-Gaustad-Mancari
    Ennis-Roy-Stafford
    Vanek-Niedermayer-Hecht
    Ellis-McCormick-Boyes

How bout we just keep him at Defense. Not sure why everyone keeps bringing up moving him to forward. Sounds idiotic to me. He is great at carrying the puck out of the zone and making that first pass.

    Leopold is also not practicing.

    Gerbe-Gaustad-Mancari
Meh... Guastad works hard and hits, havent seen enough of Mark, and gerbe skates his ass off, coulda be a good combo.

    Ennis-Roy-Stafford
    This line should explode tonite

    Vanek-Niedermayer-Hecht
Vanek going to the net with Hecht and Neids setting him up?, ok maybe a good setup

    Ellis-McCormick-Boyes
Sorry Boyes, Welcome to Raffi Status....

Re: Sounds as if Hecht and Sekera will also be available.

Hecht should be at Center with Nieds on the wing on the one line, Hecht would not be on the boards as much and Nieds has been good at 'C' but he is stronger on the boards right now with Hecht perhaps not 100%.

We are going to find out they are much more hurt than we think....they basically played 2.5 periods of game six with 8 forwards.
