The tuition for The Ohio State University is $22,865. I am assuming that, plus whatever else they get from the school is enough to warrant them not getting paid for them playing a sport in college. I wouldn't be upset if they did get some kind of allowance for playing, but assuming again that the tuition for the rest of the students in the school will go up because the money from the football program just lowered. It also is a showcase for them to go pro in football. Of course, a majority of them won't make it in the NFL and will have to fall back on the "free" degree they (probably/hopefully) earned while in school.
