    Well duh.

Regehr is 10X better than Montador.

This is probably going to cost at least the 16th pick.

Five years ago I would have traded "at least" the 16th pick. The guy is now 31 and barely a plus player the last two years.

Plus can be a deceiving stat.

Put this guy with Myers and it is a shutdown pair.

Rumor is Luke Adam and the 16th pick.

Adam is slow - this would not bother me

I don't think it is deceiving over the course of a season...or two.

Adam? I guess i can live with that, but i had high hopes that he'd be a fourth line center this year and eventually displace gaustad as a guy with a little scoring touch and a lot of physicality. or in otherwords, the player we all wish gaustad would have become.

As of July 1st, he will be. Teams have sole negotiation rights until then. Maybe they want to sign him after the trade but before the 1st.

Re: Regehr asked to waive NMC for Buffalo

why would a team trade for a player that will be a UFA in 1 week.. or does trading a pending UFA to another team turn him into a RFA?

You think at 31 years old we will need to give up a 1st?

Love to have the guy though!

No, they get his rights...and notice it was JD that mentioned Connolly. Do you really think any team is trying to trade for his rights?

The 1st rounder or an equivalent type player (Adam) and maybe another pick. Not more than that.

Re: Regehr asked to waive NMC for Buffalo

I watch this team quite often and listen to local sports-talk here:

Regehr: He is well-liked here. Obviously not known for offence, but he was a leader it seemed in the media, as in other players looked to him. He would be a good fit. He is clearly a salary dump for rebuilding. A quiet ...do you work kind of player.

Tangay- he was supposed to be the next big thing and has a more than fair contract to prove it. Never really lived up to expectations. Was called out quite a bit in the media but showed glimpses brilliance but far between at the moment.

Kotalik- horrible horrible horrible... he is the butt of a lot of jokes here as it was a unique situation that allowed him to play some nhl hockey last year.
