regardless of what happens tomorrow with richards, its very refreshing to know that a buffalo team is a serious contender for the top free agent, and making a splash in the national media, well atleast the nhl media

it would suck if our splash was to re-sign Timah, thats not even a ripple in my book.
I could see the Sabres signing Richards and then trading someone like Boyes at a discount. Since teams have to spend a minimum and many teams are well below that amount and not much out there in free agency players like Boyes will be very tradeable. Trade him and send Morrison and Kotalik to Amerks and the Sabres are off the hook for 9 million against their cap.

Anyone else think that Richards is looking at what the Sabres have done so far and getting excited about possibly joining us? I for one can't wait to see what's up Darcy's sleeve tomorrow and I hope that the first thing he does is get Richards and don't even think about bringing back Connolly.
