I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
Watching TSN feed on NHL network currently. Fire up the laptop once I put my daughter down for a nap.
I have to leave for a 1PM meeting...I am going to miss a lot.
For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.

Richards is either gonna end up a Ranger, Sabre or Leaf. It wouldn't surprise me if he mulls the offers from each team and doesn't decide til either later tonight or tomorrow to decide where he's gonna play.
I think all 3 teams have a legitimate shot at him with a slight edge to NY due to his former coach being there. All 3 will give him the money he wants.
I agree on the top 3. I think we offer more than anyone else and that may push him to us.Originally Posted by FunTimesYaY!
They arleady said his plan was to meet with all GMs/look over all deals, narrow them down based on the criteria he already put out, sleep on it, then make a final decision by July 4th.Originally Posted by FunTimesYaY!

I realize it's a huge decision for him, but he's going to make ridiculous money wherever he goes, and he's holding teams hostage by doing this.
he already said what type of club he wants to play for.
thats not gonna stop everyone from trying to sign him, im pretty sure clubs that dont fit what he wants will be tossed in a separate pile.
I think we will know tonight. He's known this was coming, he knows what he does and doesn't want. The contract is really what isn't a known and even with that he probably has an idea.Originally Posted by OpIv37
