by surprises I assume you mean stupidity, and the answer is almost.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
      It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Good. Let those guys waste their entire cap space on one chick and when it comes time to compare they'll have nothing to show for.

I feel like it was a waste of time bidding, but there is always the chance that everybody is bluffing. Well, a chance in a million, but still a chance.

Oh, sorry. She was in a lot of movies in her teen years. Remade The Parent Trap, some cheap TV movies like Life Size and Get a Clue, remade Freaky Friday, Mean Girls (her most famous one), and Herbie Fully Loaded. She was a redhead up until about 2005-- I think her last film as a ginger was Just My Luck (a horrible film). She went blonde for the Prairie Home Companion movie and hasn't really changed back since.

Lindsay, circa 2002, with strawberry-blond hair (and perhaps the most unflattering wardrobe ever):
