Paul Hamilton is at the arena and reporting that the Sabres are out of the Richards sweepstakes. Leino may be projected at center. Pegula is not in Newport nor did anybody from the Sabres go there.

Speculation is that they were long shot and also wanted Leino. Wasting time waiting for Richards may have sunk getting Leino.

They were planning on meeting this afternoon but info this morning (possibly the call to the agent) crushed that.
Leino is projecting at C right now.

Hamilton was asked - "Is this the #1 center?" They avoided answering.
