The team was much better before today, and Leino is good depth. I'll take him over Connolly.

Now if they had gotten Richards, I'd declare them a legit Cup contender. As it is, they'll have to fight for it, but they're in the mix. The d-men alone can mean another round further. Boston won the Cup on the strength of defense and goaltending.

This team is not a cup contender...not even close. They need a star center and added a very mediocre to average one in Leino. That is more like the Darcy we are used to. I hope they do something else at the center position because we suck there!

In the last week they get Regher, Ehroff and Leino and it's only July 1st yet you are not happy? Wow, speechless.

If 28 points in 37 playoff games is your definition of mediocre then I don't know if anything would make you happy. Leino is a playoff animal. The kind of player we need. Plus he still has time to improve. A solid move by the Sabres.
