Roy
I don't think this team can win a cup with these centers...they're average to mediocre at best.
They'll have to go the Boston way. Leino and Roy are comparable to Cup-winning Krejci and Bergeron

Disagree. The goalie and defense is very good, add in the goal scorers and Leino making the scoring better, we are a contender... not as clear cut as we would be with Richards, but we are a contender.Originally Posted by Nighthawk
It has to be Roy, sure we like to rip on him but come on now prior to last year would anyone even consider Leino a second line player? It's not even close. I hate to say hate the signing but as eluded in another thread I like Fleischmann, even with injury concerns, a whole lot better.
Fleischman sucks im happy with leno, I wanted him based on watching him in the playoffs in Philly. Still think he's a stud despite his lack of games in the nhlOriginally Posted by The Jokeman

Has to be Roy, but it really isn't too important.

Leno being more of a playmaker would go well with vanek. A play making wing like Ennis would work well for Roy.

Why does Fleishmann suck? He's a more proven player and when with Colorado was close to scoring a point per game. He has a better track record and got less money than Leino. I do agree he was good against the Sabres but disappeared against the Bruins in Round 2 of the playoffs.Originally Posted by camelcowboy
does it matter? it's not like we'll have a "true" number one line.... we'll be running three scoring lines in all likelihood.

I agree that it doesn't really matter. Our first and second lines will be very strong, regardless. And the way Lindy likes to switch his lines around, I think we will see many different configurations.Originally Posted by YardRat
I'm really most interested in our 3rd line, and who will play where.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
