you can bid again. This is no holds barred duke it out.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I'm not disagreeing, per se... But, I'm thinking someone would have to come up with a fair idea to "penalize" someone for selling a card back...Originally Posted by EricStratton
Maybe, the person selling has to keep 1/3 of the cap hit? Maybe a flat cap hit for any card dropped? Maybe, if the card sells for less, the original buyer take the difference as a hit? Maybe, the person who sells a card can't bid for X amount of days?
I dunno, but throwing ideas out is gonna be infinitely better than just saying "There needs to be soem sort of punishment." keep in mind, Bedard has to track all of this too, so you don't wanna make it too difficult to track, even if you do add on some sort of penalty.
I do think Sabre should be taking the cards out of his sig, though... :)

I will, I can't while I"m at work.
I was just messing with ya... :)Originally Posted by SabreEleven
On a related note, I don't necessarily like the rule that you can buy a card for a gazillion ZB, like Historian did and only take the cap hit... The reason? Well, to be honest, a lot of players (including myself) don't even have that many ZB to try to do a buyout of a card, so it's sort of an advantage to be able to throw ZB around when you want and get whoever you want at a lower cap figure than you would have bidded...
But, Historian's bid for Tina Fey put him pretty close to the cap, so he'll likley have to unload someone to FA relatively soon as well... All's you have to do is bid over like 35k and there's no way 3 players can beat you... And, we're only a month into the game... :)

I bid 19k..... Good value and a sweet ass.
lol, she is gonna go higher than her original bid.
Could S11 of just sold her to one of us?
Historian bought somebody already.Originally Posted by Novacane

Yeah, he could have. Not anymore though. He probably thought she didn't have any value seeing as how she is semi ordinary looking, especially in the "card"Originally Posted by Novacane
He could have... Apparently, nobody bit or he didn't ask around enough.Originally Posted by Novacane
In fairness, I think Pippa was one of the "Beta" cards, where there were only like 5 people playing... Dunno if they had a lower cap or what...

He couldve at least got his original investment back instead of losing cash.
But, would someone have offered that much, or is she going higher due to the auction...?Originally Posted by King Bedard
Another strategy point in the game, it appears.

I bet she goes much higher. I'll bid 25,000 for Pippa. Thurm is right....look at that ass!
Oh and there are so nice topless photos out there of her too.

This is better....
Oh and AssClown is a dumbass for not just selling her. He would have gotten rid of the entire cap hit, plus gotten extra cash if he just sold her. Hell...I got 200,000 ZBs from nbf for Drew Barrymore.
Not all of us have 200,000 to spare, just to buy one card, though. Hell, I personally have just over 200k TOTAL... Not gonna give an obscene amount for just one card, when the goal is to have the best stable. it's a marathon, not a race. :)Originally Posted by Michael82
