I'm happy with my one card and the price I paid to get it. I'm a little bummed at myself for not throwing a 1k or less mercy bid on Stefani though.

Re: Bang or Bucks: Anna Paquin

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I have no personal smiley, but I was hesitant about going that high...

Does anyone else find themselves logging in at like 3AM to see if there's a Flash Auction going on, or is that just me?

Are there any additional penalties if someone doesn't pay, besides dropping it on the next bidder?

Just seems to me that that could become a trend, where someone sees they overpaid dramatically, so they just drop it on the next guy in line... People could bid insane amounts with really no consequence if they win and ditch...

Just something to think about, before anyone gets the idea... Not saying Stewie is planning on doing that, just happens to be the first time the winner hasn't paid in a relatively quick matter, that I know of.

Next highest bidder is praying Stewie pays up.

That certainly would suck for you... That would put you only $500 under the cap...

I'm thinking there should be some sort of additional penalties if someone doesn't pay, though. Doesn't seem fair to screw over the 2nd place guy like that... What if the second place bidder didn't have enough under the cap for his bid?

I was just thinking the same thing.

My thought is that the person should still have to eat the cap hit for the ENTIRE bid, even if they don't pay up. The only negative is that if it happens more than a couple of times, it could be a problem for Bedard to keep track.

I would think he could just put that in the thread where all the cards and rules are... Like he does for the cards.

I would agree on the cap hit part... At least SOME cap penalty... But, a suspension from some auctions should happen as well... Maybe a week's worth (5 Days)?

Most likley just an oversight and King will get paid... But, putting some rules in place in advance wouldn't be a bad idea...
