My guess is, it'll depend on how many people sent in silent bids... If he only got a couple silent bids, with everyone bidding in here, it might count.

I put a bid in, but wasn't sure if this was a "public" type auction... You beat my silent bid, but would have bid higher if I was sure of what type of auction we were holding.

Either way, I didn't win, so no worries here... Just wasn't sure of the correct way to bid.

I'm glad we'll get a ruling on this on someone I wasn't really crazy about winning, as opposed to someone I could possibly want more... I don't wanna screw up bidding when it really counts. :)
