    Fantasy Baseball

Who do you guys think I should take? I'm thinking #1 will be either Pujols or Hanley. Do I take whatever guy is not taken at 1?

Pujols is always #1, under no circumstances should you take anyone else. Pujols is money for 330 avg or more, 40+ hr's, 130+ rbi's, 110 + runs, and sometimes will steal a base every now and then. If Pujols is drafted #1, which will probably happen, then you take HanRam for 2 reasons. First, he's a numbers stud. Great average (expect about 310-330) great power numbers (30-40 hr's, 95-110 rbi's), should score about 100+ runs, and should steal about 35-40 bases. He's a solid 5-category stud. The second reason is you can draft a power player at a very scarce SS position. There are not alot of good SS's this year (or any year), so to take care of that, w/ a guy like that, really will balance your roster out. Good luck.

I took Carlos Gonzalez (COL) with the #11 pick in a league I am in. Haven't been keeping up with baseball much but he was ranked high so I went with it. Thoughts?

CarGo is a friggen stud!! He's a very solid 5-category player. He's my 5th rated player total, and to draft him @ #11, thats a steal. I'm drafting 6th outta 12 in my league this Saturday, and in all my mocks, if he's there (usually is) I take him every time. I project him 300-320 avg, 25-35 hr's, 100-110 rbi's, 100 runs, and 20-25 sb's.

#4 is too high for Tulow, you should also have Cano or Utley in there

I disagree. Tulow is a phenomenol talent, and his 2nd half last year, he was hitting hr's everyday. I think this year he's a very solid MVP candidate. I may be wrong, but I think he's the 4th best fantasy player. Utley is way, way too injury prone for me, and although I do like Cano, he's only a 4-category player, since he rarely steals bases. The others in the top tier steal bases, w/ the exception of MiggyCab, but he's #3 b/c his stats almost mirror Pujols.

Uggla is a great player, and I love him at 2nd base, especially since he's back in a good lineup, but he's not in the top 10.

Ugh. I have some work to do with my team. The wife had me working in the yard all afternoon which led to me dozing off during the Sabres game and missing the draft. I should of pre-ranked

Have a question EllT. TD and I made the Ellsbury for Posada trade. In the email from Yahoo it said something about a 2012 draft pick Ellsbury a first and Posada a 4th. What does that mean? Please tell me I did not give up next years first for Ellsbury?

I'm not sure how all that stuff is gonna work. Its brand new, and anything I tell you about that is simply a guess. All I can tell you is, our league is not a keeper league, and we are redrafting next year. I will do my best to try to find out more about this.
