Went in for an interview on Tuesday. I was dressed up, nice shirt and tie. I walk in to the security entrance and as I'm checking in, Rene Robert walks in.

He sees me and says "Look at this guy. He's ready, he's ready before I am" and I overheard them say something about a tour he was gonna take around the arena I guess.

Then he says "So what are you dressed up for? Are you here for something or are you just f*****g around?" and laughed.

So I said "I have an interview upstairs."

"Interview? For what"

"Hoping to help them out designing stuff for the team"

"Very nice, well good luck"

So I said thank you and went on my way.

And in conclusion, I got an e-mail yesterday saying I begin on Monday, and I owe it to Rene wishing me luck.

Thanks, I'm way ready to get it going.

Not too sure what I'll be working on, but like I told them in the interview, I'm not doing it just to be here. I wanna do it because I wanna put my work towards a sports team, and why not be a team I've been a lifelong fan of.

And I think being one of, if not the first interview was an advantage so they could get one in and start working immediately.

But he did generate millions of dollars in merch sales regardless, so it wasn't a total bust.

I think that's just because the timing was perfect.

The slug came out between the end of an improbable season and the start of one of the best seasons in Sabres history. As long as the logo didn't include a swastika or a maple leaf, it was going to make millions.

I still believe though that something happened behind closed doors in the locker room with Briere and Drury. Heard a rumor that Drury didn't like Briere's play in one of the playoff games and Drury came out with it! Briere then took his stick and swung it at Drury. Kind of like Obi-Wan and Anakin in Star Wars part III when Anakin goes over to the Dark Side.
