Roy to play point on PP, Grags removed & speculation Weber in

NY -- After running what Buffalo Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff called the
hardest practice in three years, the team took Tuesday and devoted it to
special teams.

In an unordinary switch from the usual on non-gamedays,
the Sabres only dressed in white and blue for practice. The blue, signifying
those on the power play, and the white being those on the penalty kill. All
hands were on deck to try and improve the power play, with a notable addition
to the first unit.

After being taken off the power play, Sabres forward
Derek Roy was added in a different role than expected. He was at the point with
Tyler Myers on the first power play unit. That's a change from the last point
pair on the first unit, which was Christian Ehrhoff and Marc-Andre Gragnani.
The forwards on the top unit remain unchanged, with Thomas Vanek, Jason
Pominville and Brad Boyes heading up that unit.



Including the second unit, Marc-Andre Gragnani has
been removed from the power play completely. The second group included Ehrhoff
and Jordan Leopold at the point, with Luke Adam, Ville Leino and Drew Stafford
as the forwards.

meanwhile all the people on Twitter that cover the Sabres are speculating that Weber will be in the lineup tomorrow

Philly is more of a physical team. I would definitely like to see Weber in for Grags.

I will go with OP here, Gragnanni has been less than stellar overall and terrible on the PP. He just doesn't seem to know what to do with the puck.

thats just for the power play, and it was done to get boyes's 1-timer shot with vanek and pomm

That isn't my understanding...Lieno is replacing Adam on that line full time.

PP looks OK, but they just never really hit on those plays cross ice, and I just do not understand how they cannot bury pucks.
