All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Re: Let's hear why the Lucic hit was not a cheap shot
Every player wearing a Bruins jersey on this roster is a scumbag.
Lucic knows the rules. You can't touch goalies at all. You just can't. But this sparks the debate of "if he leaves the crease he should be treated as a skater and take a hit blah blah blah" but that's another story.
My main concern was the team full of pussified wimps who did NOTHING to stand up for their goaltender after he was knocked out. How embarrassing is that to say "do what you want to our players, we won't mind"
Lindy needs to pull up the video of the cheap shot hit on Drury in 2007 when it erupted into a brawl because to quote Lindy "you don't go after our ****ing captain"
Maybe that will remind these guys that you need to grow a set to play in this league and they can't afford to be pushed around by ANYBODY.
Re: Let's hear why the Lucic hit was not a cheap shot
I call total bs on the concussion. Thatsv play to get lucid suspended
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Rule 69.4 says not fair game but if G plays puck outside crease incidental contact is permitted if player makes attempt to avoid contact.

I didn't know coming in full speed at a goalie with no attempt to let-up or move is considered incidental contact.
