Norwood is not a choke artist, that is completely unfair. This isn't even close to apples to apples for many reasons.
Norwood was 50/50 beyond 40 yards. Kickers today mak's routinely, he did not, that was not his skill set. He was accurate inside 40, outside 40 not at all. Especially on grass.
A useful post by the new guy.
But, until Stevie is playing on that defense who couldn't protect our leads, they're the bigger choke artists.
Stevie couldn't hold norwoods jock strap
Missing a long FG is no choke. It's not like he pulled a Billy Buckner.

Neither could Rayner for that matter.Originally Posted by jmb1099

It's been established that Norwood's miss was because of faulty holding.

I think Stevie is worse. Granted, Norwood's was on a bigger stage, but it was a tough kick in the most pressure-filled situation imaginable.
Stevie was in moderate pressure situations and only had to make routine catches that he makes 99 out of 100 times. Stevie would probably **** his pants if he even had to go on the field with the SB on the line.
Or maybe because the vastly over-rated Marv Levy was unable to engineer the team getting the ball CLOSER to the goal line before being forced to kick. 47 yards should NEVER be considered a chip shot.Originally Posted by Philagape

And yeah, the penalty was dumb... BUT.... let's compound the stupidity with Gailey's equally dumb call for a squib kick that was botched by a novice kicker and handed the ball to the Jets with superb field position. And of course our worthless defense was unable to deny the Jets on that possession.

This lowly cart.... it hits harder and has a higher yards
per play average than the Bills' offense!
Agreed on the SB drive, and agreed on the squib call. That was just coaching scared; it's not like they were kicking to Devin Hester.Originally Posted by Cleve
