Look, I have a man crush on the guy like many Sabres fans.. but he is the only guy we could trade heads up that could give us a clutch #1 center in return.
I am fine with Enroth as our starter. He's no Ryan Miller, obviously.. but he's not bad either.
Again, I appreciate what Ryan has done for this team and the city but it's time we really shake things up.

Enroth is not a starting goalie, he's like Biron was, he's a good backup, he will never be a starting goalie in this league. Other teams are starting to figure him out how to score goals on him.
Only losman wins would grow such a emotional attachment over a average goal tender. Teams have figured out Miller, both goal tenders are average but Miller has trade value might as well make the team better if possible.Originally Posted by Fitzpatrick'sbeard

And if we get a good deal in return. Trade him or anyone else. No one should be untouchable given the right deal.
While I think this statement is WAY OFF, I don't feel like Enroth is ready right now to completely shoulder the load.
By the way top line centers are more important than goalies. We probably wouldnt get as much as you think for Miller.
Enroth is our top prospect and has #1 talent but I wouldnt give that to him right now.
Not yet...let him get back on the ice and return to form, if he can. Enroth is good and should get better, but he's still not quite in Miller's league yet.
If Ryan's old lady would move back to Buffalo with him during the season and let both of them spend the off season on the left coast you'd probably see a much different player.

I find it sad that the minute we find a goalie who is in the least a very good backup, we want to trade our starter. Did we forgotten already how having a crappy backup has cost us the playoffs in the past?
The way this team plays, no one should be above a trade for the right offer, with the possible exceptions of Regher and Myers.
However, there are a couple of problems with trading Miller. First, as Chern pointed out, if we do, who backs up Enroth? That's a huge issue.
Second, which Miller would we be trading? The flaky one who had his head up his ass before getting hurt this season, the slightly above average one from last year, or the dominant Vezina-winning Miller from two years ago?
If it's the first one, obviously a trade is a no-brainer. If it's the second two, we need to think long and hard about a trade and what we're getting in return before pulling that trigger.
