This guy must have never heard of fans that doesn't live close by or fans that can't afford to attend every single game. What an idiot. Especially coming from a team who might sell out a couple games a year or so.
I'm a diehard fan and had season tickets for 10 straight years up to a few years ago. Just because I don't have season tickets and attend every game anymore doesn't mean I'm still not just as diehard fan as before.
This ****** must not realize that some people also work on the weekends so they can't attend every game even if they wanted to. Not everyone has the time off or the resources or time to attend or travel to every game to go out and buy season tickets. Not to mention disabled or older people that can't make it to the games. Then just the people who enjoy watching most or all of the games from the comfort of their own home and being able to listen to the announcers, etc.
What's even worse that this junk is being spewed by an owner of a team who can't even sell out most of the season when the team is good let alone when they are bad. Even during their recent competitive years they couldn't sell out the season on a regular basis.
I guess this guy just thinks that unless you purchase season tickets then you're not a fan. For those who don't for any of the reasons stated above I would quit buying any of their team merchandise. I guess if you're not a "real" fan because you don't buy season tickets even if you live across the other side of the USA then you shouldn't spend any money on their sport apparel or collectibles either.
