GO Gators!!!!!!
#1 recruiting class in 2013!
Big night tonite to find out where Stefon Diggs is going.....
My bet is on him at Maryland........
Still Gators finished in the TOP 5 for the 2012 class.
Loaded up on the defensive side of the ball and got the #1 OT recruit in Humphries.
Florida is the latest to extend an offer to 2013 Fork Union (Va.) Fork Union Military Academy quarterback Christian Hackenberg. The four-star signal caller called Gainesville this afternoon and spoke with head coach Will Muschamp as well as offensive coordinator Brent Pease. It was at that point that the Gators extended the offer.
Florida is the 10th school to offer Hackenberg, who previously held offers from Alabama, Miami, Penn State, Rutgers, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, USF and UConn.
I'll send the GatorBait crew a full update shortly.
Below is a link to Hackbenberg's profile ...

Hackenberg is reportedly a top target of Alabama, as they're looking for that big pro QB prospect. He just moved up to #66 in the nation (overall, not by position) in 247sports' rankings today.
He's visiting PSU next weekend for a Junior Day event. Apparently PSU staff think they've got a decent chance with him. He and Ryan Burns are the only QB's PSU has offered, but they're also recruiting Tyler Cogswell, from Florida.

Good info.
Its going to be tough to recruit a QB at FL right now.Originally Posted by psubills62

So you know these 2 will be there for a few more years yet.
PSU u could probably start yesterday......
SO if the guy wanst to play righta way PSU is probably the place to go.
Absolutely. That's one reason I'm confident PSU will get a top QB this year.Originally Posted by tampabay25690
BTW, Florida just reportedly offered LB Alex Anzalone from PA.
Yea FL is off to a great start already. Defense is the name of the game in the SEC and FL is definitely following that trend.Originally Posted by psubills62
Already have 4 commits for 2013.
I saw that about Alex but as of right now he has 13 school offers. Think it depends if he wanst to stay North or go South.
Have (3) 4* committs already and (1) 3* already, 3 defense and 1 offense.
Next week FL should have a few more as well.
Looks like FRED TAYLOR'S son RB Kelvin Taylor a 4* RB recruit from Belle Glade, FL will probably be committing like his old man at the University of Florida....

How many spots does UF have open this year?
Don't know the exact number but quite a few.
Last year was a small class when URB decided to vacate....
I will say the way they are going they will be a force again....Originally Posted by psubills62

There will always be players leaving the program each year for many reasons.Originally Posted by psubills62

Florida has been handing out a large number of 2013 offers this past week. The latest going to a four-star tight end from the West coast.

I said you need to strive to better than everyone else. I didn't say you needed to be better than everyone else. But you gotta try. That's what character is. It's in the try.
My Gator fan friends in Gainesville are pretty happy that Fred Taylor's kid has said he plans to play at UF like his father did. Apparently he inherited his dad's running abilities.
