So we've lost ZB's. I am willing to continue with out them but that means more book keeping. So I'll be happy to do it but I need to know who's still in.

Is there any way to know how many ZB everyone had when the site went down? Personally, I know I had over 150k still but, since ZB changed literally by the second, due to posting, views, etc, there wasn't really a way to track monies spent and who all had what.
Personally, I'd like to continue playing and would even be willing to be "bookkeeper" if it helps you out any... The thing is, how do we get back to where we were before the crash?
I don't think you can just give everyone a flat rate to start with, simply because that really wouldn't be fair to those who saved their cash. Those who were nearly out of ZB woud get a big advantage by getting a reprieve and being placed back at an even level with everyone else.
The first question would be, is there any way to know how many ZB everyone had? If there is, it makes it easier to continue where we left off... If not, we might have to start from scratch...

The honor system is fine, but the problem is, chances are, there are some who honestly have no clue how many ZB they had left... I only know I had "over 150k."
Assuming we can't pull up how many ZB eveeryone had, this is the best way I can think of that could be used to keep playing:
1: Figure out how much each person has spent. Then subtract that number from a significantly larger number that everyone would start with. For argument's sake, let's say $500k That would be the starting cap. So, for example, for me:
Start: $500k
Katy Perry: $50k
Anna Kournikova: $30k
Jenny McCarthy: $20k
Jodie Sweetin: $4500
Rhona Mitra: $10k
Jennie Finch: $27k
Amanda Bynes: $38,500
Tara Reid: $35k
Total: $215,000
Difference: $285,000
In this instance, the $285,000 would be the amount left that I would have to spend. Do the same for everyone and you can create a semi-accurate cap that puts everyone on the same playing field.
If we use this method, they should be done from a "real time" basis... Meaning, we'd basically simulate the "season" the exact same way as it has played out thus far. If you drafted a card in the first round, she costs you $50k, even if you dealt her for a lower price later on.
This makes sense in my head, but is kind of hard to put into words... So, it might not make much sense in typing, but makes perfect sense if you sit back and think about it. Hopefully, this example will make sense to everyone:
Jill Wagner was a 2nd round pick, which cost $30k. She was drafted by TD... Now, TD sold her to Jamze for $5k. In this case, TD should take a $25k hit, while Jamze would take a $5k hit, as opposed to Jamze having the entire $30k deducted... Because he obviously only paid the $5k... Hopefully, that explains the "real time" thing a bit better.
Another option would be to simply employ a "keeper" type system, where we would alll start with a set cap number and would be allowed to keep up to 3 of our own cards... To keep them, obviously, the price tag of the card would be deducted from our cap number. The rest would be "Free agents," which could be bought for their price tag by the first person requesting the purchase. If they aren't bought, they could be re-auctioned eventually, put in as part of storage lockers, or maybe never heard from again.
Just a few ideas I have, anyway... I do think it's safe to say that there almost has to be some sort of cap limit on how much each player can spend and the "money" shouldn't be dependant on being tracked by the website.

Give me a list of participants and I'll see if I can retrieve the balance for each. I don't know if/when the actual ZBs will return, but at least you can keep a running total until then.

I'm pretty sure I had 200,000 still.
I DEMAND my gazillion zonebucks AND SOME SCANTILY CLAD MALES to buy with them
I'm still in and fine with whatever - when do we re-start and would we catch up on pics first?
Taking a couple weeks off so King can finish the pictures and the zonebucks thing can get sorted out is fine by me.
No need to burden the workers here any more then they have been.
I said you need to strive to better than everyone else. I didn't say you needed to be better than everyone else. But you gotta try. That's what character is. It's in the try.
I say we take all the "teams" and put them to a vote to see who won. When the ZB's come back, we can start from scratch. We can even go with a bracket type tourney to see who won. I'd be willing to help.
I'm a fan of Sabs idea, but I'm also a fan of just giving King a break.

To be honest I did not enjoy even watching this version of the game.
It's gotten far far too complicated.
I agree with this idea. I won't win because I got crap but it just makes the most sense to end it here and then start anew.
Either wait til we get ZBs back to restart the game or do a database with each player having 200k or whatever to buy broads with...then when someone is bought subtract it out of the table/database.
So are we done with this?
I havent really decided yet... Things have been dead around here so I was waiting to see if business picked up before making a decision.
