So how's the baby doing?
I said you need to strive to better than everyone else. I didn't say you needed to be better than everyone else. But you gotta try. That's what character is. It's in the try.
Could 20 days of chemo really have made a difference, or was she too far gone already when she was initially admitted? Not justifying their constitution by any means, just asking a pragmatic question.
Long you live and high you fly And smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry And all you touch and all you see Is all your life will ever be.
Nope, I'm staying out of this one, actually I am going to stay out of almost all abortion threads because hell there's just no way any argument by one side is going to change the minds of anyone who thinks differently.
same thing i thought. most likely it would have just prolonged her life, perhaps enough to deliver the child. regardless, clearly that law needs to change
yep. same here. its the same argument over and over and over again. to me its pretty simple, id like to see zero abortions but you simply cant force that decision without causing enormous harm in the process. lots of people obviously dont agree
"Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seem they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one."
There is obviously more to this story. The girl is 16, has leukemia and manages to get preggers... was she already receiving treatment? So many questions in this story..
http://www.rhrealitycheck.org/articl...rom-her-cancer
According to this article .. she was diagnosed of her leukemia in her 9th week of pregnancy. Then they waited 3 weeks to begin treatment.
Still curious to know had she begun receiving treatment right away would this have turned out differently.
I remember that you were the only poster that ever "groaned" me on the other forum when I posted - If you want to know the Church's opinion on abortion, take a shovel and dig up the grounds around a Convent.
As for cancer treatment during pregancy the latest study shows,
http://www.clevelandleader.com/node/18717
According to a new study, women who received treatment for cancer during pregnancy had no greater risk of giving birth to children with birth defects or other health issues. The study's researchers now say that pregnant women who develop cancer can have chemotherapy without endangering their unborn child.
This is what happens when religious conservatives insist on defining life in terms of quantity rather than quality.
You know blue I probably did, truthfully I did a lot on that board, especially groan bombing, that did nothing but contribute to the acrid waste dump that place became. However, I believe in new beginnings and new starts and new eras and this is one of them. I still disagree with abortion for any reason, but I am not going to get into arguments over it and I will not lash out at those who think differently on it. Quite frankly we have much more important issues as a nation than reproductive issues and who should and should not get married. Want to talk taxes, monetary policy, foreign policy, defense, unemployment, education, and what have you lets discuss. The hot button/wedge issues I'll agree to disagree.
