Since we all know Mario won't be back next year, will you start a Dareus Fools Gold or Hughes Fools Gold thread for next season?

Since they're both getting paid ridiculous amounts of money and both were just as invisible as Mario this year.

Lucky for you, Jabaal Sheard has actually shown up this year since he was your go back in time alternative plan to Mario Williams.

But really, you're gonna bag on Mario for his 13 tackle 4 sack season, why not add Dareus and his 33 tackle 2 sack season or Jerry Hughes and his 34 tackle 5 sack season? Or Kyle Williams 6 tackle 1 sack in 6 games season?

That's about what he does on average...so he'll go back to being the exact player he was when he's back in a system that actually allows him to perform.

His 16 game average comes to 34 tackles and 10.5 sacks...even with factoring in this craptastic season...

So really how is it funny or that much of a stretch?

Rex was a bad hire unless the Pegulas wanted the defense dismantled.

Nobody signed up for this as a fan. The fact that there were no d players in the pro bowl sums it up.

See you say that and Coastal laughs but look at the numbers and look at guys who've put up similar numbers...

4 more seasons of his average production of 10.5 sacks and 34 tackles puts his numbers equal to guys like John Randle, Julius Peppers, Jason Taylor, Jared Allen, Neil Smith, Richard Dent, John Abraham. A couple of those guys already are HOFers and the rest likely will follow suit.

Will Mario ever reach Reggie White, Bruce Smith, Michael Strahan numbers? No. But neither were those guys I listed above in that class either.

So, since I feel you'll realistically give a response instead of resorting to insults and laughing it off, what distinguishes the difference from Mario to say John Abraham?
