We had nothing to offer him. Denver had a much better roster and Tennessee was a place where he enjoyed playing and was still a folk hero.

He turned down San Francisco for ****s sake, and they were a Super Bowl favorite. How does our pitch to Manning sound? "Hey, we know you are looking for a title before you retire, how about you come to Buffalo? You can throw to Steve Johnson and handoff to CJ Spiller. If you struggle, it's OK, our 30th ranked scoring defense will ball you out."

I don't think this was his point..

I think his point is that teams pay players big money when they WANT to make a run for the Superbowl.... Not to not even make it to the playoffs 16 years running..

Paying Mario $100 million from the beginning was a stupid decision for the BILLS and it got them no where...

They should have just disbursed the money to their fans, at least then they would have gotten more in return ... OR they could have taken the money and tossed it out the window..

Either way this is just one more example as to why the BILLS just suck and have no real desire to be winners.

The mouth breathers are melting... just like Fool's Gold did.

mario had his excuse for a lack of production provided for him by an external situation (Rex and a defensive philosophy change). Instead of taking ownership for his role... he took his opportunity to divert the attention elsewhere.

As parents... we are more than familiar with this kind of behavior and Bills fans are getting to watch a guy with a $100 million contract exercise the same behavior.

theyre failure to recognize this is telling as it relates to their own emotional intelligence.
