TBN: Four Bills games at risk of blackouts

Four Bills games at risk of blackouts
    by Gene Warner

Each of the three December home games - against Jacksonville, St. Louis and the New York Jets - has roughly 20,000 tickets still available, Brandon said. And the Bills' lone prime-time home game, the Thursday night date with the Miami Dolphins, still has about 9,000 tickets left.

None of the December games will sell out.

    The Prime Time game will.

Win, and the games sell out. It's that simple.

They were making a big deal this past week that San Diego was able to sell out their opening game...............at the last minute. If the Bills are out of the playoff race, I don't think it should be a surprise or big deal if they don't sell out those games.

Sorry, Russ, but not many people are going to be willing to fill the stadium for meaningless games in December, especially when your team hasn't sniffed the playoffs since the Clinton Administration

IMO, the weather has zero to do with it... The fact that you peddle an inferior product is why the fans aren't showing up... Last December, IIRC, wasn't bad at all, weather-wise.

Perhaps Brandon and the Bills should consider themselves lucky that they have three sellouts already, considering we saw the results of the on-field product last week.

You wanna "move inventory," as you call it, Russ? Better the team to move the number in the win column up. Surely, a "marketing genius" like yourself can figure this out...

That's one of the drawbacks of having home games in December, but if the Bills are still alive for a playoff spot, they should sell out. The Thursday game should sell out regardless of the record. In the 90's I would of loved 3 home games in December, then it seemed like the cold and snow was such an advantage, these days it doesn't seem like such an advantage and not just for the Bills, northern teams just don't seem to have as big as a winter home game edge.

Winning cures everything. Alcohol cures losing.
