Yeah, I will personally see to it that you never live that down. seriously, I would not kid if I didn't like you. One time my girlfriend and I were watching Wheel of Fortune. The answer to the puzzle was "Daddy Warbucks." So, at one point she yells out "daffy bucks!" This was years ago, and she hasn't lived that one down yet, nor expects to. I figure it's my duty to remind her for my own amusement. Maybe that's just the type of fella that I am. I would not be surprised.

You sound like a good mom with that attitude though, from where I sit.

The only black metal band I'm really all that familiar with is "Mayhem" from Norway. Crazy **** went down there, which shouldn't give everyone involved in the genre a black-eye, I'd say. Look them up if you have a morbid curiosity like me.

This kinda reminds me of a brainwave tape I had years ago, at least the back round in some of the movements within the song. The tape was designed to put you in the "Theta Brain State" so you would get better rest. It was promoted by bodybuilder Frank Zane, a former Mr. Olympia, so you would recover from your workouts better. Anyway, I used it for a while and then my wife pitched it because she didn't like me having headphones on in bed which she would have to remove when I was in a deep sleep.

Anyway, thanks for the heads up, I kinda like both Vadum and Cults......never heard of them before.

    Good Lord, Moonie.

Getting better rest has to be about the last thing I would expect while listening to this, literally.

I was talking about the back round sounds in some of the movements within the piece, not the piece in it's entirety.

If I want to mellow out now, I listen to Enya, Liquid Mind, Loreena McKennitt, New Age, and Classical stuff.

Vanum to me is like droning dark noise rock not really my cuppa tea but listenable due to the personal connection... Mikey is one of my sons Brooklyn homeys we shared Thanksgiving dinner one year it was chill...I knew he played metal music I only recently looked em up due to the tour. It does sound repetitive BzzzzZZZzzZZZzzz that droning sound might fool your brain into being restful but only subliminaly I agree with feldy on that one. Music to mellow out to now thats a thought....I go to more of a Moody Blues, ELP, classical guitar, even tito puente can relax me it just depends what needs relaxing you know? Music is therapy and release and just straight up pleasurable in all forms just some I dont like as well as others...

I'll take your word for it, man.

My girlfriend has some kind of device that plays the sound of birds. She puts it on the moment she goes to bed, and turns it off after she wakes up. Kinda like being in the rainforest atmosphere or something is the idea...supposed to be relaxing. Every single night without fail.

I'd prefer something like this to relax and maybe lull me off...

    What a blitzkrieg of a two-week schedule!

Let me know if any of them get to Utah.

Since I mentioned music to mellow out by, here is one version of Loved By The Sun" with Jon Anderson. Another version was cut with Susanne Pawlitzki on vocals and then "The Unicorn Theme is just the musical track by Tangerine Dream sans vocals. I like all three and find it soothes my soul.

This piece gives me hope and brings joy. The whole album "Adiemus: Songs Of Sanctuary" by Karl Jenkins is very good, along with some of his other works.
