Let’s get one thing out of the way before we begin the debate: I’m not suggesting that the Bills draft Manuel over Matt Barkley or Geno Smith. Based on where the Bills are likely to draft, both of the top quarterbacks are likely to be off the board. When it comes down to the third quarterback, Manuel’s name is added to a list that includes Tyler Wilson, Tyler Bray, and Logan Thomas. If you go through all of Manuel’s attributes, I believe that he’s the best fit for the Bills and has the most long-term upside at the position.

I'd be OK with Manuel. Or Scott from Arizona in the third, but I want to go back and see him play some more.

Not sure Scott will have 3rd Round value at this point.

I agree, but if the team really believed in his abilities and potential that would be a good place to 'reach'.

Eh, I guess, rather not reach until after Round 4 and even then only if I absolutely have to.

Normally, myself also. But, I believe we're finally in a position where we are only 3 to 4 personnel moves from getting 'there', and at this point it would be worth the risk.

Manuel is the prospect I've been intrigued by. Among all the QBs who are likely to be available, I think he has the nicest balance of production and upside. However, the QB I want to know more about is Tyler Wilson, mostly because he's the current favorite among many mock drafters to end up as the Bills pick. I know he was very highly regarded coming into this year, having had a whole lot of success under Bobby Petrino. This season, however, the whole team has tanked to some degree with Petrino's departure. So how much of Wilson's struggle this season issue to the change at head coach. Is this a read flag in drafting him? Also, I know he's been out with a concussion. Does he have a history of concussion problems or other medical issues?

Arizona fan here... I don't see Scott's skill set translating well at the next level. Richrod has maximized his output with his offense. That isn't going to work at the NFL level.

I am definitely a Manuel fan. Bottom line is that if he is worth a look as our next prospect investment, it's going to be because he has a first round grade come late April. So given that we are probably picking in or near the teens, were just going to have to wait and see how the next 6 months go.
