Kind of off topic, but it's interesting that the last time an AFC team won a Superbowl was in 2008. The Steelers that year ranked 23rd in the running game. However, they did have the NFL's best defense at the time. Sometimes a defense can be so well constructed that it can win a team a ring. JMO
Love the Duke must see game, their QB Sean Renfree is a classic pocket passer with a nice build and strong arm. Problem is he's been hurt a lot because he has zero protection. Day 3 QB worth looking at.

This change has been happening for several years now. I remember seeing a stat a couple years ago or so where the Top 10 rushing teams in the league only had like several teams out of it that made the playoffs.
To score enough points and be successful in today's NFL you need to make big plays. The days of teams grinding you out on the ground to a championship is over. It's too hard to sustain 10+ play drives on a regular basis. Eventually the majority of them are going to stall and you're either going to end up punting more often or kicking FG's instead of TD's.
Not too long ago if you averaged 20+ points a game on offense you were considered a pretty good offense. Now 20 points a game is just an average offense in the NFL. After the evolution of the QB's it takes a competent QB in a good system with good play-calling and coaching to be successful.
Even a successful QB doesn't guarantee wins. The proof of that is with the Saints this season. They went from SB Champions and 12 win teams on a regular basis under Sean Payton to a 2-5 team this year without him. This stresses the importance of having a good coach more then ever in today's NFL and Gailey isn't one of them.

The Bils should buck the trend since their best weapons are their running backs. Just because everyone else is pass-crazy doesn't mean that we should be.
Every team should play to its strengths and hide its weaknesses as much as possible.
We, obviously, are not good enough to be a Superbowl contender but we are technically good enough to be an outside shot at a wild card. Well we were at the start of the year. However we don't have a HC who plays to the teams strength and tries to hide the weaknesses.
We should be a team who consistently runs the ball with some screens and play action thrown in. Control the clock. Sustain drives. Keep the porous D off the field. But why would we do that? That would make sense.
You have to learn to accept the fact that the Bills are NOT Good Enough. They are not a playoff team.
Every Part of this team is Average to Awful except for the RBs & O-Line.
Please Make Sense
We acquired the pieces to be there but fail to apply them properly, that's the reality of the matter. Who uses a 3rd string QB to move the ball forward 6 YPA?
