The link points to a site that was to be used to try and determine how Romney could make ends meet w/his proposals. Admittedly, I could only do this by raising certain taxes (which supposedly Romney refuses to do).

In the end, I got a...You have exceeded the revenue goal by $11.6 billion.

These were my proposed changes:

Limit Charitable Deductions
Eliminate State/Local Tax deductions
Eliminate State/Local Bond Exemption
Close Carried Interest Loophole
Eliminate Tax Preference for Investment Income
Eliminate Private Jet credit
Eliminate Oil, coal and gas subsidies
Add Carbon Tax
Tax on Financial Institutions
Narrow Value-added tax
Adopt 2009 Estate Tax Rates
Increase SS Payrol Tax Cap

Absolutely. It would also be a huge blow to drug cartels in Mexico and elsewhere.

I know a friend who buys it by volume. Not too long ago, he told me he has access to one called Afghan Cush Cush. I had never heard of it, but when I asked him if it was really from Afghanistan, he said yes. And in my mind, all I could think of was...so we (Americans) are paying drug dealers in Afghanistan for their weed, and they use that money to buy weapons and kill our soldiers??? How *****ed up is that?

I'm sure many people don't, especially because you have to itemize. But the people that DO itemize, and DO give large sums to charity to use as a tax write off would stop giving as much.
