A Chicago Lawyer with two terms in the Senate aren't named Presidential canidates. Paul Ryan has more experience in Congress and he is a Vice President nomination.

EDIT: actually Obama had one year of experience in Congress, Obama was voted in 1997 and Ryan in 1998.

Talk about a lack of experience. Why did the Republicans nominate a 65 year old man with only 1, 4 year term as governor in the early 2000s who had no other political office experience and whose only foreign policy experience is proselytizing in France as a young adult and shipping money and jobs overseas? Maybe because he was running against a disgraced former Speaker of the House, a pizza executive with no political experience at all, a wacko woman married to a gay man who runs pray away the gay clinics, and a former senator who wants to make the USA a de-facto theocracy. Ron Paul was never a serious candidate. There was also a qualified, 1 term governor who had extensive governmental experience through posts in 4 presidential administrations but was not considered a viable candidate because he chose country over party by accepting an abassadorship appointment from President Obama.

I have no doubt if Obama was a white guy he would be running away with this election. Christ, he has done so many things even the republicans had championed, until of course they thought it might make Obama look good. Cuz with the republicans, it's been Party First, Country later.
