Re: T. McGee and Pears to IR
And there are now two open roster spots. Time for the latest scrub OL and CB to be signed.
Watch them sign Stanford Routt. Sigh.
I feel bad for McGee. One of the few brights spots from the ineptness of the 90's.Originally posted by mysticsotoLecter is right in everything he said.

Potter was cut too.I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Well, McGee lasted about 6 games longer than I thought he would.
Thanks for wasting your prime years in Buffalo, but it's time to go.Originally posted by LOSman WINSVanek is Austrian not EuropeanOriginally posted by Prov401Pacquiao isn't asian. I'd be OK with signing Routt, but I really wish they'd get deals done with Byrd and Levitre.
Can't wait to see how Easley performs in a real game, and Brooks should get more pt now.YardRat Wall of Fame

If I were Byrd or Levitre I wouldn't sign a new deal with this team. Why tie yourself to a losing franchise when untold amounts of money are on the horizon and possibly with a contender.

Re: T. McGee and Pears to IR, Potter Cut
Unless Hairston falls on his face, I think he's going to be the right tackle for the Bills for the foreseeable future (meaning after this current season too). Maybe the Bills will see if they can trade Pears for a low draft pick. I think it's possible the Bills may elevate Zebrie Sanders from the PS, if he's been developing satisfactorally through the first part of the season. Then they bring back one of their undraftied free agent tackles to take his spot on the PS.I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

I seem to remember some of us questioning the decision to keep two kickers early on.....
