I'd argue with you about Virginia being a brain-dead state. If a close vote happens any time again in the near future, we might be seeing Virginia becoming a swing state. Northerner's are spreading south and that brings lots of liberals. North Carolina almost went to Obama and he came out FOR gay marriage in a state that passed a constitutional amendment against it. And if we're lucky, Florida will become irrelevant as more baby-boomers die.

I don't know what you mean about the Republicans becoming marginalized. We might become a permanent minority again, like after World War II until Newt Gingrich. I'd actually hate to go back to those days just because some religious nut-jobs managed to win us the White House for a President one time and won us the House twice.

If we stuck to our real message instead of incorporating their message about religion into it, I think we'd have a chance to break even or even dominate at times.

Memo to Papa John: Make a better product and you won't have the problem.

You've given me yet another reason why I will NEVER buy a pizza from you...the most important reason being, there's no store of yours close to my home. And, besides, this is a pizza city where we prefer local over national chains. I can't remember the last time my family or I bought pizza from a chain(in the U.S.; different story in Canada). LaNova has a better reputation than your price of crap chain anyway. Hell, my corner pizzeria has a better rep!

The only good part of their pizza is the little pepper that comes with it. I don't care for them. Plus, I live in KC and we have Minsky's. Sure its not a Chicago, NYC, or Buffalo pizza, but its great and locally owned.

Granted, the PJ CEO made previous statements regarding passing on the costs of health care to his employees and customers, but he's also said..."Schnatter went on to say he's neither in support of, nor against the Affordable Care Act, even admitting that "the good news is 100 percent of the population is going to have health insurance.”

How were we AWOL? I voted for Obama and a large contingent of fiscally responsible officials at the federal, state, and local level. Unfortunately most of my candidates never got out of the primaries because other voters did not agree. You're making broad assumptions about a party that had been hijacked.

I couldn't cast a vote for him... In the end i simply voted 3rd party (Libertarian at all cost mostly), and when that wasn't an option I wrote in Disney characters. I refuse to send either of the two major parties my vote any longer.

Not that i'm in line with Libertarians much, i also voted Green (also not a party i'm much in line with) when that was the only 3rd party choice... It just seems to me both major parties have been bought and paid for by their special interests, have no obvious core values that resemble a logical constructed world view, and don't grasp the simplicities of balancing a budget. Till we get adults (not partisans) in government we're pretty much doomed to leadership of the lowest common denominator.

And as I've repeated over and over again I wont waste my vote that way. Any party that tries to build from the top floor down is never going to be legitimate. You know that as well as I do. They are pissing in the wind and have been for years and will continue to do so.
